BRAINWORK: ANTHONY TASHNICK

Director: Kyle Buthman

Santa Cruz's Anthony Tashnick is unapologetically a grom in a man's body. Here we get to peek into his thoughts, his ambitions, as well as a taste of his Mavs dexterity. He shapes blanks with his driveway (not on... with), wants to hot-dog the XXL stuff, and even tries tail-sliding a five-inch thick 10'8" twin-fin... at Mavs. He won the Mavs event back in 2005, but now his singular goal is to show everyone "how much fun surfing really can be".

STILL SWELL AT 85

Director: Dean Saffron

The nickname Magoo conjures up images of a well- intentioned but incapable character bumbling through life's daily adventures , even for those too young to have been exposed to the iconic cartoon. While Barry "Magoo" McGuigan is a lovable spirit, this is where the similarity ends as being Australia's oldest competitive surfer generates extreme focus .

FEATURE: UNCHARTED WATERS

SHORTS

UNCHARTED WATERS

Director: Craig Griffin

Uncharted Waters tells the amazing story of legendary Australian surfer Wayne Lynch. From his emergence as a groundbreaking surf prodigy to his dominance in big waves with a small board, rising to the top during the early days of professional contests, Lynch's surfing will amaze. But what makes the film doubly compelling is its unflinching examination of Lynch's maverick approach to life. At the height of his success he rejected the attention and rewards, preferring massive empty waves in his beloved Southern Ocean to any contest. His rebellious nature led him even further, into years living as an outlaw, on the run from conscription and the Vietnam War. The film takes a hard look at this incredible pioneer and icon of the true spirit of surf.
